As a homeowner creating an addition or completing a major renovation can be a challenge. Unlike building a new home clients rarely start with a complete set of plans ready to build. Instead it is an iterative process working hand in hand with your contractor to get to the design that is both cost effective and provides the visual appeal and new space you need. In addition once you start your project a very different set of stresses can appear in your daily living. At New Space we have created a company that does its best to put ourselves in your shoes and we have designed our processes to help you overcome these challenges.
During the design phase we use a detailed interview process to help us understand what you want in the new space. We then use state of the art software to provide "sketches" of your design which include possible floor plans and three dimensional drawings. Our software can provide a full 360 degree view and is a critical tool in helping you visualize what your new addition will look like. As a homeowner being able to 'see' your addition before hand alllows you to make better decisions early in the process giving you a much better end product.
We also understand the stress an addition can put on your life and living area. We take great care to minimize the impact during the construction process by adhering to our strict service standards which include: providing you with a two week work schedule to keep you informed of upcoming work, striving to return all calls within two hours, and by making our best effort to have someone onsite everyday working towards the completion of your project. We treat every project like we would if it was our house.
New Space also takes great pride in its one-year warranty program. Instead of hoping you forget about the warranty like many contractors, New Space actually contacts you between 10 and 11 months after completion of the project. At that time we set-up an appointment to come see what if any work needs to be completed. Typically you will see some minor drywall cracks and/or nail pops due to settling. But whatever work needs to be completed we meet with you to go over it. We then pick one or two days depending on the amount of work to be completed and schedule all work to be done on those days to minimize the impact to your daily living. It is just one more way New Space is changing the construction experience one client at a time.
